What PR is All About
PR is widely seen as an attempt to champion a particular cause, product or opinion. Some even consider it to be a mean of inveigling the society into buying their idea. Those explanations are too narrow, shallow, and they fail to properly articulate our present needs. We need a concise and all-embracing explanation of what PR is all about.
Today, it would be fallacious for us to presume that PR is merely a form of advocacy and salesmanship; rather, it is the guaranteed medium through which we bridge the communication gap between people. PR practitioners also serve as a blessing to the society as they disseminate ideas and information which are germane to the life of the people.
The importance of PR is not declining; instead, PR is being embraced by people across various fields. This will in turn lead to the emergence and convergence of savvy practitioners who will take this profession to a new level. Not just in this generation, but also in generations to come.
PR will continue to grow as people become more familiar with the services which PR practitioners are able to offer. This growth will be based on mutual trust, understanding, and professionalism. The world is good, but we are here to make it better. We will strive to groom worthy professionals who can carry on our torch with passion, unparalleled fecundity and creative minds.
